Torre San Bartolo takes its name from the ancient dovecote tower from the 15th century, one of the oldest and most distinctive forms of rural architecture used for the domestic breeding of pigeons and doves.
Torre San Bartolo became part of our family in 1988 and has always been a place of welcome, hospitality, and friendship. From 1993 to 2012, it was also one of the residences of Lucio Dalla, who chose it as his private retreat—a peaceful haven where he could nurture his creativity, write songs, and enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding landscape.
In 2024, the property has been beautifully restored while preserving the distinctive features that make it a unique example of local rural architecture. The renovation has carefully maintained and enhanced the exposed brick façades, original timber roof trusses and ceiling beams while weaving in every modern comfort.
Over the years, the tower has remained a special place, combining history, charm, and inspiration in an atmosphere of timeless serenity and today the estate opens its gates exclusively to a single group of guests at a time. The property is set within 5 acres of private land, offering tranquility, privacy, and an authentic countryside experience. At the rear of the house, a semi-level outdoor area provides the perfect setting for relaxing, dining al fresco, or simply enjoying the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
Our philosophy is that of a private home, not a hotel. Breakfast arrives at whatever hour you choose. The cantina is stocked with Marche DOC wines selected from the neighbors just down the road. If you would like a private chef, a guided truffle hunt or a sunrise yoga session beside the pool, we will arrange it.
Everything is possible; nothing is mandatory.
